the artistic practice
Beck Heiberg will talk at AN HOUR WITH about his practice within transpolitical aesthetics, based on a work he is currently working on.
He is preoccupied with working with binaries and expanding the understanding of the concept. In his current work, he explores the binary of ‘grief and sexiness’ – and is interested in what arises in the tension between the two.
the artist
Beck Heiberg is a choreographer, performer and works with queer and trans political aesthetics. His own works are often based on movement and personal stories. He is a member of Dance Cooperative - an intersectional feminist workplace and platform for choreographers. He works at the intersection of choreography, performance, and theater.
The intention is to cultivate a closer relationship with and understanding of various artistic practices and studies that are currently inspiring the field. With AN HOUR WITH, we provide a space for brief and focused immersion in the work of an artist or artist group. AN HOUR WITH is for the industry, national and international colleagues, and others interested in the performing arts.
