In this conversation, Camilla Lind elaborates on her artistic practice. A practice filled with performance, text, sound, and costumes, supporting investigations into the transformative potential of the body and gender.

Earlier this season, Lind spent two weeks in residency at HAUT with her current research CRUSH, where she and four other artists worked on removing the PROTAGONIST by using the stage as a laboratory for impossible situations. This approach gave rise to new opportunities and challenges. In this space, the artists explored how support, community, and the ABSENCE of a protagonist can create a larger, perhaps monstrous, collective body. They swapped ROLES and tested different approaches to processing personal and collective experiences through art.

Camilla Lind is a Copenhagen based choreographer, interdisciplinary artist and vocalist. Investigating the collision of performance, image, text and sculpture from a perspective of the feminine other and the economy of sex in late stage of capitalism. She juxtaposes the punk, the dreamy to create an ambiguous and intimate crash of spectacle of our time.
