You will meet theatrebuilding.com – a decentralized platform, network and laboratory for online performance art, connecting performers and audiences across time and space.

The artists and programmers behind the project aim to create transnational theatre communities and solidarity through semi-digital events and conversations by building on practices from Augusto Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed and open source coding.

During the conversation they will introduce their current performance, Græder ved havet البكاء على حافة البحر which connects audiences in Denmark and Tunisia through a self-built live stream and interactive script. They will share texts about the spect-actor by Mouayed El Ghazouani and Ahmed ben Abid, and read from Mohammed Rowes text about data streaming. They will also share information about how to join.

The project will be physically presented by at least Monia Sander Haj-Mohamed with others joining in online.

The performance Græder ved havet البكاء على حافة البحر  is presented by and at theatrebuilding.com April 10th to 13th.

Active performers and programmers are currently situated in Copenhagen, London and different places in Tunisia; amongst others Mouayed El Ghazouani, Ahmed ben Abid, Jazbo Gross, Eliza Bozek, Mohammed Rowe, Amr Hatem, Helen Nishijo Andersen, Rania Rezgui, Kevin Thor Fleming and Monia Sander Haj-Mohamed.

Makes space for a short and focused immersion in the work of an artist or artist group.

It is an opportunity to meet artists in an informal setting where new conversations about art can flourish. The intention is to cultivate a closer relation to and a greater understanding of different artistic practices and investigations that could inspire the field.
