In collaboration with Tårnby Park Studio we invite you for a conversation on the role of the performing arts in times of crises. Together with a panel of invited performing arts institutions and professionals we will shed light on and discuss the state of the performing arts after a year of debates, regulations, bills and laws affecting our industry and artistic freedom.

Continuing some of the conversations that were started in June for Matters of Crisis #1, we will ask: What role does the performing arts institutions play in a time when political events lead to bills and guidelines that indirectly or directly impact the arts. How do we act when a sense of (self-)censorship seeps into our professional lives? How do we work in solidarity to protect our artistic freedom? After the panel the conversation will be opened up to the audience.

This conversation is aimed at anyone working in the performing arts field. There will be refreshments during the event.

Matters of Crisis is initiated by Andreas Liebmann, Storm Møller Madsen and Cecilie Ullerup Schmidt. The first conversation was hosted by Tårnby Park Studio in June 2024.

The conversation will be moderated by Betina Rex, Laura Luise Schultz, Andreas Liebmann, and Katrina Schelin.
