Hvordan kan en syg krop tilegne sig plads på dens egne præmisser?
Residency takes place at Odin Teatret 07.03.-13.01.2022
Work-in-process sharing: 12.03.2022 at 2:00-4:00pm
Leth/Tougaard/Egeberg will work with a methodical approach to combining voice and choreography in connection with their thematic exploration of the sick body and its political standpoint.
Inspired by the theme of the residency itself, IN PROCESS – History, the artist group will clarify their sources of inspiration through a mapping ritual to examine what this means for their development of methodology. They see this as a break with the idea that a method is invented singularly. They are interested in exploring the contexts and trends they are part of in order to open up their own blind spots, biases, (self-)criticism, but also the cohesion; that things are created relationally. Leth/Tougaard/Egeberg will move into the map of the disease and deliberately get lost in nerve-wracking (disease) texts, voice exercises, and the stony existence of the sick body.
Leth/Tougaard/Egeberg is a nerdy and caring collaboration between three performing artists who form the cornerstone of the larger project “It is rare to find peace in someone else's body.”
In 2023, the project will become an installation performance at Fossekleiva Kultursenter in Norway, where set designer Mari LB Kamsvaag, among others, will be part of the artistic team.
