Do we know the smell of death? The feeling of it, the fear of it, or the relief of it?
DØD is made by the community HØRT which now addresses our relationship to life's last great event. death; as slow, drily, poetic.
Do we know the smell of death? The feeling of it, the fear of it, or the relief of it? Is dead black? Or yellow? And what does it taste like? Can the liver poop steak with the flat asie manifest deceased grandmother, or can an ice-cold Redbull bring the memories of little brother to life? And finally, is death something we experience together or separately?
DØD is an audience-involving spectacle, which investigates The Danish relationship to life and death - what we can agree we have in common. Space is filled with death - and together we look it in the eye, hoping that it gives us access to see life in a new perspective.
HØRT goes into exile at HAUT, as the first step in the development of a new ritual - a new method that should make it easier to discuss complex topics.
HÖRT are Julie Thaulund, Nadja Kaspersen, Sofie Grunwald, Mia Cortes.
HØRT's desire is to make the world bigger, by making the distance to our neighbor smaller. We activate the brain, heart and body of citizens through an artistically grounded approach to citizenship. Since 2014, HØRT has been developing innovative forms of conversation that make people meet, talk and bring themselves into play.
