Officinale Tours is an artistic research project of how different plant species can affect the human body and culture. Early studies of the project have unfolded into an urban walking format, in which the city's plants have been presented through narratives and dance. This approach to knowledge sharing through the arts forms the basis of the project.

In the further investigation of Officinale Tours the artists will explore how the original materials that were part of the urban walking format can be translated into the traditional black box. How can plants be manifested and disseminated in a space where they are not present? How can the choreographic art convey botanical knowledge? How can the choreographic art inform both the performer and the spectator about the intersection of nature, culture and body?

Ágnes Grélinger and Andreas Haglund started their collaboration and the preliminary investigations for “Officinale Tours” in the summer of 2020. Here their collaboration resulted in a presentation of material in Tårnbyparken and at Brønshøj Water Tower.

In connection with the further immersion in the artistic research during HAUT's Pop Up Residency, Lucie Piot and Lara Ostan Vejrup join the project and will help continue the exploration.

With Pop Up Residency HAUT wishes to experiment with the framework of artistic residencies. For the first time, groups of artists will work side by side, thus opening up the possibility that artistic synergy can be created in these meetings.

HAUT Pop Up Residency is a residency format that allows artists to immerse themselves in their artistic process by providing salary and material budget as well as facilitating internal worksharings and feedback conversations with a self-selected sparring partner.

The artistic research “Officinale Tours” by Ágnes Grélinger, Andreas Haglund, Lucie Piot and Lara Ostan Vejrup is invited to be part of haut Pop Up Residency by HAUT's artistic director Naja Lee Jensen.

HAUT's Pop Up Residency has been created in cooperation with the Performing Arts Development Platform and DIT:KBH and is supported by the Bikubenfonden.
