During her residency at the North Atlantic Lighthouse and in Thy National Park, choreographer and dancer Katrine Staub will delve into her body's relationship with nature in Denmark.

Katrine wants to further develop both the practice 'dance for plants' (developed together with the collective of the same name) and her work on Denmark's history of extermination of a large part of the population in the name of the church during the 'witch trials'. She will investigate both parts in close collaboration with the surrounding nature — both on a scientific and socio-cultural level. She will include stories and folk tales from the area and ask questions about how this nature/cultural heritage has helped create trauma and influence understanding of the body and dance.

The artistic study “eco-feminist haunting” by Katrine Staub is invited in residence through the open call IN PROCESS — Nature curated by HAUT's artistic director Naja Lee Jensen.

IN PROCESS — Nature is part of the program HAUT AND... in season 20/21 and supported by Statens Kunstfond.
