When being frightened to die, but not afraid enough to give life a chance.
The depressed and existential-angst June, is stationed as the sole crew member of the space station SETTLER223. With her she has the help desk machine Robert, a modular biomechanical AR organism made of 45% organic and recyclable material, which, in addition to her technical duties, holds the position of a shop steward.
Everyday life at SETTLER223 takes its usual course, with measurements, work tasks performed above shoulder height and endless APVs (workplace environment assessments), until one day an unfortunate message ticks into the intercom: the space station is an old and battered model that doesn't really do much.
In fact, the company does not intend to sacrifice what it costs to bring it back down safely. There is a limited time frame for total destruction and no way off. How much life can you put into 30 minutes? Can you screw with a robot - that is, if you tried it? And when to give forfeit?
