1 exhibition, 11 artists, 8 works
TRANSFORMATION is presented by NO IMAGE & HAUT
An interactive digital art exhibition where the audience is invited into a total installation with a total of 8 different works.
The symposium will be held in English.
TRANSFORMATION examines the audience experience when digital technology takes on a supporting function in a work of art. The works range between dance, performance, installation, video art and virtual reality.
As part of the exhibition, a survey of audience experience will be conducted via performance artist Inga Gerner Nielsen. The study is being staged as part of a Symposium where the audience can contribute their own experiences of the works and at the same time enter into the discussion about whether the body consciousness and sense of identity is affected when digital technology is given a supporting function in a work of art.
The symposium will take place on Saturday afternoon at 16-18 and will consist of Susan Kozel, professor at the School of Art and Culture at Malmö University, Tanya Toft, curator and Ph.D at the Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences at the University of Copenhagen, Jacob Sikre Remin, artist, Stina Hasse, Ph.D at the Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences at the University of Copenhagen, Esben Weile Kjær, critic and author, as well as the audience.
The exhibition is curated by SENZA IMMAGINE: A curatorial team consisting of Rebekka Elisabeth Anker-Møller, video artist/curator and MSc in Visual Culture and Anne Mai Slot Vilmann, stage director/dramaturg and MA in Theatre and Performance Studies.
They have previously created and curated film events in churches and urban spaces where they have dealt with themes such as gender identity and minorities in society.
