Working with the mythical trickster ~ a figure who converses with boundaries, slipping through and reshaping what we think we know, Emilie Gregersen playfully work with disruptions, weaving humor, tricks, and drama into a vibrant web of layered meanings and sensations.
TRIXSTER is a long-term project, and this residency at HAUT marks the beginning of a new phase, leading up to the premiere of the piece at Dansehallerne on March 3, 2026.
This artistic project is created by Emilie Gregersen and developed in collaboration with composer Karis Zidore, light designer Veslemøy Rustad Holseter, dramaturg Lydia Ö. Diakité, costume designer Alectra Rothschild and multi-disiplinary artist Ville Vidø.
Emilie Gregersen (b. 1993, DK) (they/she) is an artist, choreographer, and dancer based in Copenhagen, and a co-founding member of Dance Cooperative. Their choreographic work bounces at the intersection of practice-based choreography and hyper-performance. Emilie often works with a high degree of performativity, where everything from gaze to gesture is executed with heightened attentiveness, aiming to evoke hypersensitivity in both performer and audience. Driven by sensory practices, their work explores intimacy, power dynamics, and the use of the senses. Through the uncanny, the erotic, and the cringe, Emilie playfully distorts images and movements to challenge binary perceptions and destabilize normative narratives.

IN PRODUCTION is HAUT's 2 or 4 week residency, giving artists the opportunity to work on productions in a studio or black box.
