Meta-modern comedy // IRL Improvisation
Ensemble 770° invites you into three typical contemporary women's reality. They each chase their dream, but struggle against the patterns of the past. Have they been subjected to abuse? Do they submit to men or simply to their own notions?
One hundred years after women were given the right to vote, the gender debate has flared up again. A conflicted debate that quickly ends in the trenches. Ensemble 770° examines the meta-modern path in the conflicts about gender. Is there a less polarized understanding of gender? Can we create a new kind of political theater where it's not the message but the survey that counts?
Our performances arise in interaction with the audience. Both before, during and after the performance plays. Our worksharing at HAUT is our first public screenings of the scenario, which is still in its infancy. Therefore, your participation can have a decisive influence on our further work with #YESALLWOMEN.
As a warm-up for each evening's viewing, we hold an afternoon gender-role Christmas party from 4pm in HAUT's foyer bar, where we do Christmas clips, Christmas songs and Christmas games with a gender twist.
Stay tuned Search's and Ensemble 770°'s facebook pages, where surprises, extra events and maybe even Christmas gifts will appear — because the future is always unexpected!
Creating actors Cecillie Aclon, Ellaha Lack, Marie Mailand and Louise Pøhler, as well as executive director Troels Chr. Jacobsen.
Ensemble 770° works with the IRL method, where presence is the most important value. It's a disciplined search for the unexpected. Therefore, we do not have a script, but through devising and improvisation we build a scenario, characters and a repertoire of behaviors — which every now and again arise in interaction with the audience.
