Drawing on Brazilian educator Luiz Rufino’s Pedagogia das Encruzilhadas (2019), Iury Salustiano Trojaborg explores the colonial burden carried across generations, and the possibilities of ancestral memory.

‍
You are invited to transform these crossroads into a shared space for counter-archiving – where personal and collective narratives meet beyond the boundaries of institutional archives.

Bring a photograph, a document, a personal token, a keepsake, or an object that carries meaning for you – something that holds a memory or connection that might otherwise remain unseen.

Together, we will gather these fragments into a living, collective archive, exploring how memory can be held, shared, and activated through objects, bodies, and encounters.

Which stories, memories, and histories might we choose to bring into this shared space, and what might we reclaim by remembering them together? What have we carried in silence that might find a place at this crossroads?

Iury Salustiano Trojaborg

Their artistic research practice is guided by a belief in the regenerative powers of Nature and the arts, and by a commitment to cultivating relational practices between bodies, memories, places, ancestries, and forms of knowing.
