During a 3-week workshop-labratory supported by the Performing Arts Committee's development fund, the performance group examines the text “The Story of the Eye”. The group consists of five different performing artists who explore collaborative work across disciplines.
“The Story of the Eye” is a short novel of 100 pages, written by George Bataille in 1928. The book is full of sensuous erotic images. It is a story told by a young male contemplator about meeting the girl Simone and the opportunity to live with her his primary obscure and darkest needs, without questioning whether it is right or wrong. Together they are fearlessly led forward driven solely by lust and desire.
