And can it help revolutionize working conditions for the performing arts field in Denmark?

If you are curious to contribute to how we create a better cohesion and collaboration in the performing arts field, please tick the calendar on 4 and 5 December 2024.

Here, in collaboration with Fair Practice Culture and PRFRM, we invite you to a packed two-day seminar where we explore the potentials of a Fair Practice Code in Denmark.

* The Fair Practice Code is a cultural code or swan mark developed and implemented in the Netherlands. The purpose of the model is to create a common starting point for fair working conditions for artists and cultural workers based on five values and principles; sustainability, diversity, transparency, solidarity and trust.

PRFRM is a producer community working in the production and dissemination of performing arts. Maja Bonde Holze and Mikkel Kryger Søndergaard from the organization take part in the seminar.

Fair Practice Culture is an initiative that investigates and offers suggestions on how we can create a more sustainable cultural industry. Their work takes the form of workshops across the cultural field, the preparation of a report and a hearing in the Danish Parliament November 2024. The initiative is inspired by the Fair Practice Code and is initiated by the Danish Composers' Association and UKK- Organisation for Artists, Curators and Art Distributors and will be developed in the future under the auspices of the Danish Artists' Council. The project is led by Sine Tofte Hannibal, general manager of the Danish Composers' Association, and Maj Horn, visual artist and former head of UKK.

Creates spaces for thoughts and knowledge that move the performing arts.

PERSPECTIVES ON is a knowledge-sharing format based on what knowledge we need right now in order for the arts, artists and the field to develop. With the format, we invite new thoughts and discourses into the Danish performing arts landscape as inspiration, provocation and catalyst for artistic development work. The format is a platform for knowledge sharing, conversation and learning.
